LI: To Draw your own Geometree.
Today for the Summer Learning Journey we did something called a Geometree, which is a type of tree with 3 different shaped triangle's the first triangle is called Equilateral Triangle that type of shape is a triangle that has the equal side's, the second triangle is a Isosceles Triangle this shape has 2 side's that are even and 1 is uneven, the last triangle shape is the Scalene Triangle which is a triangle that has all uneven side's compared to the Equilateral Triangle and the Isosceles Triangle.
My favourite part was when I got to draw all of this and how I drawed a horse without knowing it, the horse is at the top right if you look side ways. I like the way it has that purple and blue patteren on it.

Was it tricky creating this by hand with pens? I think my hand would be sore after colouring and drawing so many small triangles! Have you tried using your computer to make images with triangles or other shapes?
Great work considering the different triangles, did you know the names of these triangles before completing your Geometree? You explained each triangle so well, I know I definitely learnt something from you!

ReplyDeleteI think your Geometree art looks very amazing, and I think the colours and the shapes of the tree that you have used looks very unique, and that its different from everyone elses which is great! I have also tried doing this activity but, found it quite hard as sometimes when I drew the shapes of the branches it didn't look like a tree. If you owned a house, would you have these trees in your backyard? If yes why do u want to have them, if not why don't you want them?
